Join your custom-matched mastermind group with MicroConf’s Mastermind Matching Program

Nothing makes a bigger impact on your business than finding the right people to talk to. Applications open on September 10, 2025.

Stop Building Alone and Start Scaling Faster

Our fear is all the same. It’s that our product’s gonna flop, that it’s not gonna take off. We openly talk about it and I’m like, ‘Oh, this is so normal.’ And so then it makes it feel a little bit more fixable, relatable, and approachable, and we can all have ideas for how to just get past this.

Program Overview

Phase 1: Apply + Get Matched (3 Weeks)

The first step is simple: tell us about where you are in your journey, and we’ll carefully match you with founders at a similar stage. This isn’t just about MRR; it’s about finding peers who truly “get it.”

While we’re working on your match, you’ll get tips on how to set yourself up for success, a walkthrough of our Mastermind Portal, and answers to any questions you have. Think of it as your pre-game warm-up before diving in.

Phase 2: Kickoff + First Meetings (2 Weeks)

Here’s where things get real. In the first two weeks, your group will schedule your first call, decide how you want to run things, and lock in at least two months of sessions at the cadence that works best for you.

We’ll also host a Mastermind 101 session led by the MicroConf team, so you’ll leave with practical tools and proven structures that make masterminds work (and keep them working).

Phase 3: Building Momentum (8 Weeks)

Now the magic happens. For the next two months, your mastermind becomes your crew—celebrating wins, tackling challenges, and holding each other accountable.

You’ll have:

  • A dedicated hub and portal to coordinate, share resources, and track goals.

  • Two live mentor sessions with founders a bit further ahead of you.

  • Weekly conversation prompts to spark discussion and keep things fresh.

By the end of this phase, you won’t just have a mastermind: you’ll have real momentum.

Phase 4: Lifelong Connections (Ongoing)

The “official” program might wrap here, but in reality, most groups stick together for years. These are the people who will cheer you on when you land your first big customer, talk you through tough decisions, and celebrate the milestones only other founders can appreciate.

Because at its core, a mastermind isn’t a program. It’s a support network for the long haul.

Stronger Together

Real stories from the masterminds who’ve leaned on each other to grow faster, stay accountable, and celebrate the wins.

My mastermind group is truly awesome! They feel like a bunch of wicked smart brothers who will shoot it to me straight, but also care a lot to keep one another accountable and to offer strategies and ideas.

I am super grateful to be connected to them and I'm hopeful we'll stay connected for a long time because of this mastermind.

-Jen G

Our Mastermind has given me excellent feedback on our most important challenges and potential solutions that are grounded in real-world experience.

Thanks for putting the Masterminds together, particularly the unseen but critical effort in matching. The first question every founder asks me about my mastermind experience is whether I'm matched with relevant founders and having productive, helpful conversations.

-Stephen K.

My MicroConf Mastermind helped me feel comfortable sharing business plans for feedback by the second month. I didn't even feel comfortable sharing these plans with people I've known for over a decade.

There is something about being in the trenches together with like-minded, good people willing to offer up their experiences that is nearly impossible to find anywhere else.

-Luke R

How We Match Founders

We’ve facilitated over 1,000 mastermind matches, bringing together founders from more than 50 countries and 20 time zones, representing over $150M in collective ARR. It’s safe to say: We know a thing or two about what makes a mastermind click.

Your Application

It all starts with your story. In your application, you’ll share your goals, experience, and working style. We want to understand who you are beyond the numbers: what you’re aiming for, how you collaborate, and what kind of peers will bring out your best.

Human + System Matching

Behind the scenes, we’ve built a proprietary system to recommend great groups — but a real human reviews every single application. It’s a high-touch process designed to create masterminds that don’t just “fit on paper,” but actually click in practice.

Commitment Through Buy-In

To make sure everyone’s invested, the application fee is scaled to your revenue:

  • Pre-revenue–$10K ARR: $250

  • $10K–$100K ARR: $500

  • $100K–$500K ARR: $1,000

  • $500K+ ARR: $2,000

This buy-in ensures you and your peers show up ready to contribute.

Our Promise to You

Not every match is perfect on the first try, and that’s okay. You can request a rematch anytime within a year of applying. We don’t issue refunds unless we’re unable to place you, but our goal is to make sure you land in a mastermind that supports you for the long haul.

FAQs

Q: Is a mastermind right for me?
If you're a B2B SaaS founder looking to take your business to the next level, this mastermind could be a great fit. You'll gain practical insights and proven strategies from experienced entrepreneurs who understand SaaS challenges.

Whether you want to optimize sales, enhance your product, or accelerate marketing, you'll benefit from the guidance and accountability of this supportive community. If you're committed to achieving your ambitious goals, this mastermind could be the catalyst you need to level up your SaaS business.

Q: What is a mastermind vs a mentorship group?
A mastermind group is a peer-to-peer mentoring group where individuals with similar goals, interests, or experience levels meet regularly to support, encourage, and challenge each other.

A mentorship group is a group where experienced individuals (mentors) guide and support less experienced individuals (mentees) in their personal or professional development.

Key Differences:

  • Peer-to-peer vs. hierarchical relationship.

  • Shared experiences and goals vs. knowledge transfer from experienced to less experienced individuals.

  • Mutual support and accountability vs. guidance and advice from mentors to mentees.

Q: Do you match non-US-based entrepreneurs?
Absolutely! To date, we've matched entrepreneurs on every continent except Antarctica, and across 20 different time zones.

Q: I don’t like my mastermind group. Now what?
Keep going. It takes time to build the rapport you need to have a successful mastermind. If you believe that you have been matched with the wrong group, you will still work with that group for at least 90 days by attending meetings and providing feedback.

Q: I got matched with a direct competitor. Will you rematch me?
We go to extensive lengths to ensure we don't pair up with direct competitors. However, if something falls through the cracks, send us an email at support@microconf.com. We'll re-match you right away.

Q: Can I receive a refund?
If we are unable to match you with a mastermind during the applicable application round, we will reach out and offer you the option to be rematched during our next application cycle, or offer you a refund.

Once we send an introduction to your mastermind group, refunds will no longer be available.

Your purchase includes 1 year of rematching (we run applications 2x per year), so if the group you have been placed with is not a great fit, after you have participated in your first 90 days, please let us know and we will add you to the rematch pool.

Q: I have another question about the mastermind process.
Sure, send us an email at support@microconf.com. A member of our team will reply right away.

Mastermind Commitment Policy

At MicroConf, we believe that a successful Mastermind experience requires commitment and engagement from all participants. To ensure that everyone gets the most value from their Mastermind group, we ask that you agree to the following when applying to join:

• Respond to the initial introduction email and start communicating with your group within two business days of receiving your match.

• Be flexible in scheduling your first meeting with the group, which should take place within two weeks of receiving your matches.

• If you feel you have been matched with the wrong group, commit to working with them for at least 90 days before requesting a rematch. This includes:

  • Attending scheduled meetings

  • Actively participating in discussions

  • Providing constructive feedback to group members

• Understand that building strong relationships within a Mastermind group takes time. Withdrawing prematurely, even if you ultimately decide the Mastermind isn't right for you, can negatively impact the experience for the rest of the group.

• Commit to fully participating in the Mastermind for the first 90 days before making a final decision about continuing.

• If you do not meet these conditions and there is no evidence of a genuine effort to engage with your Mastermind group, you will not be eligible for a rematch in future rounds.

We appreciate your dedication to creating a valuable and rewarding Mastermind experience for yourself and your fellow participants.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at support@microconf.com.

Masterminds Matching opens again on September 10th.
